On March 1 at 7:00 p.m., a wonderful group of talented children from East Africa is going to be performing at Lakewood Presbyterian Church. This choir, The Mwangaza Children’s Choir is an inspiring group of 20 hopeful and talented children, ages 8-14, who admirably represent the orphaned and poverty-stricken youth of Uganda. Touring as a ministry outreach of Africa Renewal Ministries, they come to share a special message of hope through authentic Ugandan song and dance. The upcoming performance will be a part of Mwangaza’s tenth international tour!
“Joy radiates from the faces of the Mwangaza Children’s Choir like early dew on an open field. These boys and girls captivated the hearts our church and took them to the presence of God.” – Max Lucado, Oak Hills Church
We hope to see you here as these children touch our hearts through dancing, singing, and sharing testimony about their experiences living in Africa. This is a great family event so we encourage you to bring family and friends out to see this spectacular worship performance!
Please contact Lakewood Presbyterian Church at 904-733-8055 or info@LPCjax.org with questions or for more information.

About Nemours: Nemours is one of the largest full-service pediatric health care systems with services spanning from prevention and wellness, clinical care and research, to health education and advocacy. Nemours treats more than 250,000 children annually through its network of hospitals, urgent care centers, pediatric clinics and outpatient facilities throughout Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Our goal is simple – whether using advanced medical treatments to ensure the tiniest patients get the best start in life, helping preschoolers gain skills for life-long success, offering education in the home to help families understand and manage their child’s condition, or taking a holistic approach to address the needs of the whole child – we help give kids the very best chance to grow up healthy.

In Jacksonville, the Nemours Children’s Clinic (NCCJ) is located on the banks of the St. Johns River and provides outpatient care for children in Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia and beyond in 30 pediatric subspecialties including allergy and immunology, endocrinology, pulmonology, orthopedics, hematology/oncology and many others.

Theatreworks’ production of Charlotte’s Web is based on E. B. White’s loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman – she will create a “miracle.” Spinning the words “Some Pig” in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship.
